Daylight Savings time?

We don’t get a newspaper. We don’t have a TV or get internet in our apartment. The calendar says Daylight Savings time ends October 28. So, last night before we went to bed we changed most of our clocks back an hour. This morning we got up and got ready for church. We were even ready early and sat around reading for about 30 min. On the way to church we noticed that several of the other churches we pass had lots of cars in their parking lot that aren’t usually there. We got to church the same time another guy did. We went in the lobby of the church and the doors to the auditorium were closed. The other guy asks us, “The service starts at 11, right?” “Yes,” we affirm. At first we thought they were still in Sunday school, but then we realized it was the service. Andrew thought they were almost done and was ready to leave (it was 11:50…or 10:50 from what we knew). Instead they were just beginning the sermon so we slipped in. Everyone else seems to have gotten there on time. Are we in one of those strange places that don’t observe Daylight Savings time? But then, Verizon says it’s 11:50 too. After church I call my mom. “What time is it?” “It’s 12:23. Why?” “Are we having Daylight Savings time this year?” She laughs. “That’s not until next week or so.”
