He also likes literature, theology, history, and other various academic things. In his spare time, he will find an occasional computer game or try to keep up with some select sports teams.
Melanie has a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Education and a Master of Science degree in Speech Pathology. Between graduating from college in December 2005 and beginning her graduate work she was a substitute teacher in both Christian and public schools. She enjoys reading fiction books.
We have known each other for virtually our entire lives. Both of us were born to faculty/staff members at Bob Jones University. We were in the same grade all through school and were friends off and on. During our senior year of high school, we both participated in speech and debate competitions sponsored by the National Forensics League. Our friendship was rekindled on those trips and continued into our freshman year of college. We started dating the summer after our freshman year and got engaged the summer after our senior year. We were married on June 10, 2006 at Hampton Park Baptist Church.
